Rubbish, waste and recycling

These pages will tell you everything you need to know about recycling and waste. We’ll tell you what you can recycle and where, what happens to your waste when we collect it and how you can reduce how much waste you produce.

You can apply online for new bins, including bins for our garden waste scheme, or find out when your next collection will be.

Please note that additional recycling is collected throughout the year. You can put out the equivalent of up to one extra bin full of recycling next to your recycling bin on collection day.

Large cardboard boxes can be collected if they are broken down into smaller pieces that can easily be fitted inside of the recycling bin with the bin lid closed properly. Please either place the cardboard inside the recycling bin on the next recycling collection or leave the cardboard by the side of the bin. However if it is raining please do not leave the cardboard outside to get wet because the crews will not pick up cardboard that is wet through and falling apart.
