Council Leader in policing talks

CCTV coverage and policing in Amber Valley’s villages were on the agenda when Leader of Amber Valley Borough Council, Councillor Chris-Emmas-Williams met Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Hardyal Dhindsa, recently.

Plans were discussed which will allow police officers to access CCTV footage remotely rather than having to visit the monitoring suite in Mansfield. There were also discussions about more Police Community Support Officers being allocated to Amber Valley.

Commented Councillor Emmas-Williams, "Our discussions were very productive, and it was really good to be able to talk about initiatives which will have a positive impact on the safety of our communities throughout the borough."
